GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is one of the most prestigious exam for engineering students. GATE not only helps in getting admissions for masters in IIT and other reputed universities, it also helps in getting more than five figure salary every month. Most of engineering related government job selection completed on the base of GATE qualified score. In India, government organizations like DRDO, NPTEL, NTPC, BHEL, GAIL even an IAF shortlist candidate on the base of GATE qualified score

In what ways will I benefit if I clear the GATE exam with a good score?

After completing B tech or B.E, most of the students who want to make their career in research and development, they look forward for masters. Getting a master’s degree from reputed universities like IIT, IISC etc. increases the importance and knowledge of his field.
When anyone qualifies GATE ,it means he/she has good engineering knowledge. That’s why R&D companies and organizations demand for GATE qualified score.

Eligibility for GATE Aerospace Exam

Qualifying Degree – B.E /B.Tech

Applicant Type–  An applicant who had completed B.E or B. Tech in Engineering and those who are in the final year of such programs with no backlog

Age- No limit

Syllabus of GATE Aerospace Exam

GATE Aerospace engineering syllabus consists special,  and core topics. Both core and special topics are taken from your 4 year engineering study. Download the PDF for GATE aerospace engineering syllabus.

GATE Aerospace Exam pattern

GATE syllabus has two types of topics one is core topic and another is special topic. 90% weightage given to core topic and 10% weightage given to a special topic. Considering the 100% of whole GATE aerospace engineering exam. 13% weightage is given to engineering, mathematics, 15% weighted to general aptitude and 72% weightage to your aerospace engineering subject’s knowledge.

Engineering Mathematics- 13%

General Aptitude- 15%

Subject Topics- 72%

So you should focus more on theoretical studies of your aerospace engineering topics.
